Live, banded. Around 500g.

A live mud crab with the claws banded, sold by the piece rather than by weight band. Heavy for its size is the test worth applying: a light crab has recently moulted and the shell is mostly water.

Arrived alive and lively, heavy for its size. The sweet meat made a brilliant chilli crab.

Mine arrived lethargic and did not survive until cooking time, so the meat was off. Disappointing for the price.
